Going single-stack would pretty much be the wrong direction and defeat the purpose of the P365. OP, if you want a pistol that is thinner you need to look into the Ruger LC9s. It's also, IIRC, a tad lighter. And it's single-stack and 7+1. BoBo522. For a milled slide, look at Fabricated Arms, Jagerwerks, Maple Leaf Firearms, and Parker Mountain Machine. All are reputable shops which will mill your P365 slide for anywhere between $100 and $150. A local shop was selling the SIG P365 ammo at reasonable prices the other year, and I scooped up a fair stock of it. It clocks at an honest 1100'sec, and has a similar recoil impulse/POI/velocity as my 115 reloads. Actually, the factory rounds have a smaller muzzle blast.The P365 seemed like it was a good gun until I field stripped it and could not get the slide back on. I tried all the suggestions from Sig and the internet. The safety was down, I reset the recoil spring etc., but the slide would get stuck with about 1/2 " to go. I did not want to use a hammer so it went back to Sig. I believe I'm going to leave the 380 as is, you can feel the weight difference. However the longer frame on the P365 will make for a better shooter. Even with the 12-round extended mag in a std P365 I find I can handle and shoot the P365X better. You dont need to change any springs or barrels just drop it into the XL grip module. There are many videos on youtube on how to change the module. They dropped the P365, 574 times in 26 orientations as well as five drops at 6 feet on concrete." Shoot them a few times. Take them apart and put them back together. Check the follower for left over swarf or debris. Check the feet of the follower for casting residue or anything else that would prevent it from reaching full depth.
