Clutch issues. Our Deere Rep stopped by the shop yesterday and I asked about some stuff to include the 825i and 550 clutch issues. According to him, there is a fix coming out for the drive clutches on the 825i that will either be a clutch/belt replacement or a rework of the clutch. As for the 550 clutch, it seems the last fix is working.

jd772. may have to remove a wheel to check voltage when you unplug connector from solenoid. also check the grounds. check to make sure brake switch is operating .it is tied in to wire circuit. and throttle switch. it should indicate on dash the 4x4 ,also may hear the solenoid with engine off and switch activated.The best and simplest way to determine whether or not the alternator is charging is to use a voltmeter across the battery terminals. It should read about 13.5 to 14.5 volts while the engine is running. If it stays at battery voltage, about 12 volts, the alternator is not charging. Hope this helps. Doc the Clutch Man.

Noisy clutch. I have a 2013 825I that I bought new. It has 50 hrs on it now and has had 3 clutches counting the original. My dealer replaced the original clutch at 40 hrs. because it was getting hard to shift and jumping out of gear. I took it back to them last month after about 8 hrs use because of clutch noise especially when cold.
